Many network operators use a large number of intermediate devices like firewalls or antiviruses implemented on the proprietary hardware. Installation and maintenance of this equipment are very expensive. Therefore the network function virtualization technology allowing flexible remote services management through a software is a promising option for organizing operator network architecture. Switching to software appliances instead of specialized hardware can optimize the administration of the network functions, significantly reducing its cost. However, a problem of determining a number of virtual network functions and their placement in a distributed network that optimizes operating costs and meets service level agreement is a complex mathematical problem. The paper deals with a problem of efficient monotype network functions placement in a distributed network in order to minimize the total cost, with restrictions on channel delays, throughput and node performance. NP-completeness of the problem is proved, the statement is given in terms of integer linear programming. A heuristic algorithm is proposed and its efficiency is shown on typical network topologies.

We consider tomograms and quasidistributions, such as the Wigner functions, the Glauber–Sudarshan Pfunctions, and the Husimi Q-functions, that violate the standard normalization condition for probability distribution fucntions. We introduce special conditions for the Wigner function to determine the tomogram with the Radon transform and study three different examples of states like the de Broglie plane wave, the Moschinsky shutter problem, and the stationary state of a charged particle in a uniform constant electric field. We show that their tomograms and quasidistribution functions expressed in terms of the Dirac delta function, the Airy function, and Fresnel integrals violate the standard normalization condition and the density matrix of the state therefore cannot always be reconstructed. We propose a method that allows circumventing this problem using a special tomogram in the limit form.

In earlier works, solutions of Lyapunov equations were represented as sums of Hermitian matrices corresponding to individual eigenvalues of the system or their pairwise combinations. Each eigen-term in these expansions are called a sub-Gramian. In this paper, we derive spectral decompositions of the solutions of algebraic Lyapunov equations in a more general formulation using the residues of the resolvent of the dynamics matrix. The qualitative differences and advantages of the sub-Gramian approach are described in comparison with the traditional analysis of eigenvalues when estimating the proximity of a dynamical system to its stability boundary. These differences are illustrated by the example of a system with a multiple root and a system of two resonating oscillators. The proposed approach can be efficiently used to evaluate resonant interactions in large dynamical systems.

In this paper, we study the efficiency of egoistic and altruistic strategies within the model of social dynamics determined by voting in a stochastic environment (the ViSE model) using two criteria: maximizing the average capital increment and minimizing the number of bankrupt participants. The proposals are generated stochastically; three families of the corresponding distributions are considered: normal distributions, symmetrized Pareto distributions, and Student's t-distributions. It is found that the "pit of losses" paradox described earlier does not occur in the case of heavy-tailed distributions. The egoistic strategy better protects agents from extinction in aggressive environments than the altruistic ones, however, the efficiency of altruism is higher in more favorable environments. A comparison of altruistic strategies with each other shows that in aggressive environments, everyone should be supported to minimize extinction, while under more favorable conditions, it is more efficient to support the weakest participants. Studying the dynamics of participants' capitals we identify situations where the two considered criteria contradict each other. At the next stage of the study, combined voting strategies and societies involving participants with selfish and altruistic strategies will be explored.

In order to calculate the stresses, the set of equations is solved that includes the elastic equilibrium equation of the gravitating planet, and the Poisson equation that relates the anomalous gravitational potential to the density distribution. The Green’s function method (or loading numbers method) allows us to find boundary conditions based on the data on topography and the gravitational field of the planet. Relief and density anomalies distributed in special ways in the planetary interior are the sources of the anomalous gravitational field. In the stress calculation in [5], for the sake of definiteness of the problem, an assumption was made that there were two sources of the Martian anomalous gravitational field: non-equilibrium relief and density anomalies at the crust−mantle boundary (two-level compensation model). In this study, an exploration of zones of maximum shear stresses and tension−compression stresses in the Martian interior is proposed for a three-level compensation model (the non-equilibrium relief, density anomalies at the crust−mantle boundary, and density anomalies at the base of the lithosphere).

Studying of stress field in the Martian interior is of importance for the seismic exploration of Mars. It’s assumed to place a seismometer on Mars at the end of November 2018 (mission InSight of NASA) to determine the present level of tectonic activity and get information on its deep interior. We perform the stress field analysis in the lithosphere of Mars in order to reveal the areas of maximum shear and extensional stresses as potential marsquakes’ sources.

The joint analysis of current data on the topography and nonequilibrium part of the Martian gravity field allowed us to obtain a detailed pattern of the distribution of nonhydrostatic stresses in the Martian interior. The criteria for selection of possible sources of marsquakes were large values of shear stress against the background of significant tensional stresses. The rheological models considered were the elastic model, the one with the lithosphere, and the model with the lithosphere and possible melting zones in it. Independently from the rheological model chosen, zones of high shear and tensional stresses in the Martian crust and mantle were revealed beneath the Hellas and Argyre impact basins, Mare Acidalium, Arcadia Planitia, and Valles Marineris.

Regions of maximum shear and tension-compression stresses in the Martian interior have been revealed using the three-level compensation model. Nonequilibrium relief, density anomalies at the crust−mantle boundary, and density anomalies at the base of the lithosphere are the sources of the anomalous gravitational field. The thickness of elastic lithosphere positioned on a weak layer that has partially lost its elastic properties varies from 150 to 500 km. The weakening of the layer under the lithosphere is simulated by a tenfold lower value of the shear modulus down to the core boundary. In general, the stresses for the threelevel compensation model differ from the values obtained for the two-level model (nonequilibrium relief and density anomalies at the crust−mantle boundary are the sources of the anomalous gravitational field) by 5−10%. Considerable differences between the models of two-level and three-level compensation are revealed beneath Hellas and Argyre regions.

Abstract.The article considers the environmental economic model of risk management and the costs associated with them. In the field of eco-friendly construction and labor safety, it is customary to allocate occupational hazards and hazards, expressed by quantitative or qualitative parameters of occupational risk. Risk management or environmental risk means the recognition and analysis of risks, the development and implementation of management decisions to reduce the likelihood of adverse situations, as well as the possible reduction of material or other losses. Risk management helps to get out of the zone of uncertainty into a situation with more or less predictable results. The methodology for applying the environmental economic model under consideration is a cyclic order of performing interrelated practical actions known as the Deming-Shewhart cycle, which is inextricably linked to the process approach and the quality management system. Synthesis of the principles of the quality management system and mechanisms for managing environmental risks and costs ensures high adaptability to any external and internal stress situations, reveals professional risks in a timely manner, optimizes processes and, as a result, reduces costs.

In this paper the energy optimal control of harmonic oscillator is found. The solution is compared to the solution of the time optimal nulling of harmonic oscillator’s energy. The results of the modeling of the oscillator’s phase coordinates and full energy for given control time are shown.
