The paper is devoted to caching of popular multimedia and Web contents in Internet. We study the Cluster Caching Rule (CCR) recently proposed by the authors. It is based on the idea to store only popular contents arising in clusters of related popularity processes. Such clusters defined as consecutive exceedances of popularity indices over a high threshold are caused by dependence in the inter-request times of the objects and, hence, their related popularity processes. We compare the CCR with the well-known Time-To-Live (TTL) and Least-Recently-Used (LRU) caching schemes. We model the request process for objects as a mixture of Poisson and Markov processes with a heavy-tailed noise. We focus on the hit probability as a main characteristic of a caching rule and introduce cache effectiveness as a new metric. Then the dependence of the hit probability on the cache size is studied by simulation.

Historical and modern approaches towards heterogeneous models and hierarchical modeling in control theory are listed. A unified approach towards a design of hierarchical models of multiagent systems is described and illustrated by the example of diffuse bomb model. Problems of “hierarchical automation” in organization-technical and production systems are described. General problems of hierarchical modeling are underlined.

Аннотация: Game-theoretical models of of team building, team adaptation and team learning are considered for multi-agent organizational systems. It’s shown that models of team building and functioning described in terms of reflexive games reproduce the autonomy and coordination of team activity. Team adaptation is considered as the beliefs’ updating under the absence of common knowledge among the agents. In the framework of the joint learning model the optimal learning problem is stated and solved as the allocation of the volumes of works performed by agents in certain time intervals.

This book is a brief “navigator” across the history of cybernetics, its state-of-the-art and prospects. The evolution of cybernetics (from N. Wiener to the present day) and the reasons of its ups and downs are considered. The correlation of cybernetics with the philosophy and methodology of control, as well as with system theory and systems analysis is established. A detailed analysis focuses on the modern trends of research in cybernetics. A new development stage of cybernetics (the so-called cybernetics 2.0) is dis-cussed as a science on general regularities of systems organization and control. The author substantiates the topicality of elaborating a new branch of cybernetics, i.e., organization theory (O3) which studies an organization as a property, process and system. The book is intended for theoreticians and practitioners, as well as for stu-dents, postgraduates and doctoral candidates. In the first place, the target audience includes tutors and lecturers preparing courses on cybernetics, control theory and systems science.

Аннотация
We consider a pseudo-Riemannian metric that changes signature along a smooth curve on a surface, called the discriminant curve. The discriminant curve separates the surface locally into a Riemannian and a Lorentzian domain. We study the local behaviour and properties of geodesics at a point on the discriminant where the isotropic direction is tangent to the discriminant curve.

We study phase portraits of a first-order implicit differential equation in a neighborhood of its pleated singular point that is a nondegenerate singular point of the lifted field. Although there is no visible local classification of implicit differential equations at pleated singular points (even in the topological category), we show that there exist only six essentially different phase portraits, which are presented.

In the paper characteristics of an open queueing network with correlated input Markovian arrival processes and phase type distribution of service time in the nodes are studied. The developed methodology is used for the performance evaluation of broadband wireless networks with linear topology. A comparison study of numeric results of analytic modelling and simulation is carried out. To study open queueing networks with MAP input a pyQuMo library has been developed using Python 3 language. The library provides a means for model description, model properties computations by taking advantage of an analytical approach, and simulation as well as results visualisation.

Problems of the development of hybrid communication systems based on laser and radio wave technologies are discussed. A novel method for assessing the reliability characteristics of such systems, operating in random environment, is presented. The method is based on the theory of Markov- modulated processes. An algorithm of stationary distribution calculation for the systems state probabilities is elaborated. Numerical examples illustrate the suggested approach.
