Аннотация
The behavior of an extraordinary wave in a layered uniaxial anisotropic medium is reviewed. Thetransformation matrix is found for a homogeneous layer and for a multilayer structure with an arbitrary num-ber of layers in an analytical form in elementary functions. The concept of partial waves in a layered mediumand their contribution coefficients for an extraordinary wave is introduced. It is shown that the ref lection andtransmission coefficients of an extraordinary wave for a plane-parallel plate are equal to the sum of the ref lec-tion and transmission coefficients of partial waves.
