In the modern world, there is a significant problem of the discrepancy between the expectations of students and graduates to the real requirements of the labor market, which creates a significant barrier to effective interaction
between higher education institutions and employers. To solve this problem, it is necessary to develop a universal approach that ensures the integration of enterprises and industries with universities. This is especially true in the Russian Federation, since higher education institutions often do not interact sufficiently with representatives of business and industry, which leads to a decrease in the competitiveness of graduates and a slowdown in economic growth. The article suggests one of the possible ways to solve this problem through the introduction of an expert system for predicting career expectations based on the analysis of academic, professional and personal characteristics of students.
