The article describes the peculiarities of the technological process for temperature control of the educational stand «Thermal Object» using a classical PID controller implemented on Siemens and Schneider controllers. The process of selecting PID controller parameters is analyzed. The PID controller was developed using utilities such as Unity PRO S and TIA Portal. An analysis of the process of creating the PID controller from scratch was conducted in both programs, and a comparison of the efficiency of regulation, as well as the pros and cons of creating each controller, was carried out
