The digital cost management in a large company, carried out by its top manager (Boss), is considered. The head of the regional branch of the company (Administrator) controls the subordinate enterprise headed by the Manager. A company's regional costs are affected by random external influences. The Administrator knows exactly the overhead costs at the regional level. But he does not know the minimum possible cost of production in the enterprise. The Tutor helps the Administrator to eliminate this uncertainty. For his part, the Manager knows exactly the minimum possible cost of production. At the same time, the Boss knows neither the overhead nor the minimum possible cost. Thus, the Administrator can manipulate regional costs to influence the decisions of the Boss in order to increase his own remuneration. Therefore, the Boss needs to learn how to control the Administrator in order to minimize regional costs. Similarly, the Manager can manipulate the costs of the enterprise in order to influence the Administrator's decisions about his own remuneration. Therefore, the Administrator needs to control the Manager in order to reduce costs in the enterprise. A management mechanism has been found, in which the company's costs are minimal. The use of such a mechanism is illustrated by the example of the modernization of freight railway platforms.
