The functioning of Ecosystem Business Models developing in the Modern Economy requires their theoretical understanding, which the author proposes to implement based on Neo-Institutionalism. The author substantiates that Profitability analysis and Savings in Transaction Costs are the basis for making decisions about their creation and entering participants into them and offer basic models for their evaluation
