In conditions of long-term operation of gas fields, specific problems arise that increase energy losses and reduce gas production. To solve these problems, an energy-efficient resource-saving intelligent control system for gas production processes is proposed. The system provides the possibility of combined control, i.e., the operation of one part of the wells from the central regulator, while controlling the remaining wells in manual mode by the operator. The system provides stabilization of pressure in the common manifold of a cluster of gas wells when the physical and technical parameters of gas production change over a wide range. An adaptive PID controller with a controllable frequency of the control signal significantly increases the resource of technical controls. The system also solves the problem of optimizing the gas pressure in the reservoir under conditions of restrictions on the values of the well gas flow allowed by the technological map. The results of simulation modeling of the control system’s performance are presented, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
