The paper considers the problem of experimental estimation of important control system characteristics like signal delay and buffering parameters in the Network Calculus method framework. A brief review of the method is provided. The techniques of estimation of the flow arrival curve (envelope) and system services curve are discussed. Piecewise-linear approximation or affine approximation using support vector machines method are considered for the arrival curve estimation. Two approaches are proposed for the estimation of the minimum system service curve. The first one is an inexact estimation based on a maxi-plus deconvolution property; it is proven in the paper. The second one is applicable for systems having an analytical dependence between the minimum and maximum service curves as FIFO or Priority Queue type schedulers.
