The paper considers the place of Digital Earth as a special mode of geovisualization among various "digital" initiatives of our time, and, in particular, its connection with the so-called "digital economy". The concept of unsigned carriers of information introduced into semiotics in complete analogy with the concept of a zero sign into mathematics, is discussed. The possibility of resolving the "coastline paradox" and associated discrepancies of cadastral data with the help of the Digital Earth is considered. © GraphiCon 2018 - 28th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Vision.
