Aristotle, Descartes, Kant, Hegel, Ampere, Heidegger, Husserl–this is a shortlist of philosophers who contributed their bit to the comprehension of knowledge. Most of them paid much attention to the cognitive, transcendental aspect of knowledge, which cannot be formalized.
