The problem of a comparative analysis of the most promising predictive algorithms for optimal control: nonlinear time optimal algorithm, linear quadratic algorithm LQ and typical PID algorithm with prediction delivered and solve in the work. On example of the automatic stabilization system steam pressure before the turbine of atomic power water-water reactor VVER-1000 produced by synthesis, simulation and research of qualitative characteristics of the listed systems. Comparison of transients, which showed that linear predictive algorithms are quite capable to compete with the best to date, non-linear time optimal algorithm. While taking note of the strengths and weaknesses of regulators, to broad commercialization in electrical systems are recommended for predictive PID controllers; in pneumatic and hydraulic systems of preference is given to time optimal controls; LQ regulators can be used on systems with an integral component in the object or in the executive mechanism with taking into account their cost and typical regulators cost
