The paper covers the procedure how to choose the most suitable (based on the number of workers in the sustainability system) automation scheme in autonomous production systems. An abstract of model of production is used, such model being invariant with the types of technological operations. Three levels of automation at an autonomous station are in focus: Fully manual assembly of products with no automata. Product automated production by means of purchased automata. Automated production of both products and automata used for the product manufacture. This paper also highlights the algorithms of determining the optimal sorting of the types of robots by the varieties of technological operations.
