The article presents a typology of technology and research readiness levels, which allows to identify “stuck areas” and “gaps” that arise during the transition of scientific research from stage to stage on its way to practical application. The typology is based on the integration of the international levels of technology readiness (TRL), classification research of the “N.E. Zhukovsky Institute” Research Center, definitions presented in the draft law on science of the Russian Federation, and the author's typology of the innovative life cycle of scientific constructions
