This paper consists of two sections. The first one is introductory. It presents the formulation of the prob lem of decoupling inhomogeneous hydrodynamic type systems into block triangular interacting sub systems. Section 2 is basic. It provides sufficient and necessary conditions for decoupling inhomogeneous hydrodynamictype systems into block triangular interacting subsystems.
