Аннотация
The work is devoted to global solvability of initial value problem for one-dimensional nonlinear wave equation. It is proved that in the class of multi-valued solutions the problem under consideration has the unique maximal solution. This solution obtains the completeness property that is analogous to the corresponding property of solutions of ordinary differential equations.
