Three-tier system models of network systems enables characteristic assessment of network operational systems including the reliability of message delivery, the probability of delivering messages to the wrong person, the probability of connectivity, the probability of cycles. The paper presents the use of finite Markov chain based, networklevel models to assess the reliability / risk of network systems.
