The International Conference on Business Intelligence and Modelling took place in
Athens, Greece. IC-BIM is an international interdisciplinary conference focusing
on the theoretical approach of the contemporary issues evolved in Business
Intelligence and Modelling and the integration of theory and practice.
More than 300 pre-registered authors submitted their work in the conference.
IC-BIM fnally accepted and hosted about 54 original research papers, after a
double-blind peer-review process. During the conference, many Workshops were
held in order to advance and contribute to specifc research areas in the feld of
Business Intelligence and Modelling.
The conference aims at creating a forum for further discussion on a Business
Intelligence feld incorporating a series of issues and/or related organizations that
manage Business Intelligence in their everyday operations. Therefore, the call for
papers was addressed to scholars and/or professionals of the felds of Business
Intelligence, Business Informatics, Business Model Innovation, Simulation
Modelling, E-Business, Enterprise and Conceptual Modelling, etc. IC-BIM provides a common ground for the exchange of insights on Business issues in the science of Business Intelligence, ensuring signifcant contributions to this feld.
Grouping emerging technologies in the Business Intelligence feld together in a
close examination of practices, problems, and trends, IC-BIM and its emphases on
business presented the state of the art in the feld. This Annual Event is addressed
jointly to academics and practitioners and provides a forum for a number of perspectives, based on either theoretical analyses or empirical case studies that fosterthe dialogue and the exchange of ideas.
