Abstract—The basic provisions of conceptual semantics that were proposed by the wellknown linguist S. Pinker are discussed in this paper. As well as other concepts of cognitive semantics, this concept emphasizes the fundamental role of human physical in the formation of cognitive processes. One important thesis of S. Pinker is the assertion of the existence of a language of thought, which serves to represent word meanings in the mind and is primary in nature relationship to verbal language.
