1. The Conference Status
The 3rd International Conference on Control Sciences (ICCS III) will take place in 2006 at the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow, Russia). The Conference is convened by the Institute of Control Sciences of Russian Academy of Sciences, National Committee on Automatic Control and the Russian Research Foundation.
2. The Conference Schedule
The Conference will be held from June 19 to June 22, 2006:

3. The contents and the format of the Conference
The objectives of the ICCS III are:
Background. The 1st International Conference on Control Sciences (ICCS I) was held in 1999 to celebrate the 60-th anniversary of the Institute of Control Sciences. The idea of the ICCS I was to keep up the tradition of convening National (All-Union) Conferences on Automatic Control in a new world of the end of the XX century. The Program Committee of the ICCS I at its closing meeting recommended that such conferences shall become regular triennial events with the venue at the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The 2nd International Conference on Control Sciences (ICCS II) was held in 2003.
The Institute of Control Sciences was founded in 1939 and soon became a leading center of the Soviet Union in the field of the theory of control and applied sciences. The Institute was among the founders of the IFAC (International Federation for Automatic Control). The National Committee on Automatic Control (NCAC) was set up at the Institute to represent the national interests at the IFAC. It was this Institute that initiated and became the principal organizer of the National (All-Union) Conferences on Automatic Control.
The Conference will open on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 11 a.m. with a two-hour plenary session. After the lunch (1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.) special sessions will start and continue till 5.30 p.m. On the opening day of the ICCS III the first round-table session will start at 5.45 p.m.

The official languages of the Conference will be Russian and English. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
If you plan to make a presentation at the Conference, please send the abstract to the Organizing Committee no later than January 25, 2006 (WinWord, maximum one single-spaced A4 format page).
The abstracts will be used to select papers for the Conference program. The preliminary schedule will be updated by correspondence. All abstracts will be published just before the opening of the Conference.
The Conference proceedings will be published in the form of a collection of full texts of the papers. So we ask you to prepare full text of your paper straight to the beginning of the Conference (in electronic form). It is also planned to publish the most interesting fragments of the discussions and send them to the participants.
Information about the participation fee will be provided later.
